Yanmar’s modern cooling systems based on the use of natural gas will be available for new German markets. The Japanese leading manufacturer of innovative energy solutions announces the co-operation between their main distributor for Germany, KKU Concept, and natural gas supplier WINGAS GmbH in Germany. The cooperation agreement takes effect immediately and will initially run up to and including 2019.
Additional potential for gas
“Natural gas is a versatile source of energy. Thanks to the collaboration with KKU Concept, we can now offer our small industrial and commercial customers better and far more substantial information on the possibilities of cooling with natural gas and so tap additional potential for gas,” states Detlef Mirsch, head of technical services at WINGAS.
Environmentally friendly and budget-proof
“CO2 emissions can be reduced significantly thanks to efficient natural gas cooling technology. Besides, gas technology is often less expensive compared to conventional, electricity-based solutions,” adds KKU Concept’s managing director Sven Schwarze. “Working with one of Germany’s largest natural gas companies opens up new opportunities for marketing our Yanmar energy systems.”
In 2014, Yanmar and KKU Concept won the ASUE Award from the German gas industry for innovation and climate protection with their co-manufactured GHP Chiller (Gas Heat Pump). Yanmar’s gas motor-driven heat pump with integrated heat exchanger is the first compact unit in the world that can be used for simultaneous heating and cooling.
WINGAS is 100% daughter of Gazprom and is one of Germany's biggest natural gas suppliers. The energy company is active in natural gas trading across Europe: in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, the Netherlands and the UK. Its customers include municipal utility companies, regional gas suppliers, industrial facilities and power plants.
